Welcome to LAGOSTECH!
I’m pleased to announce the launch of the LAGOSTECH project website. LAGOSTECH is a Marie-Curie postdoctoral research fellowship funded by the Horizon Europe programme to investigate technology and society interactions in African ‘silicon places’. Led by Dr Davide Casciano and supervised by Professors Katrien Pype and Jan English-Lueck, LAGOSTECH will produce the first ethnographic study of how digital technologies are incorporated into communities across sub-Saharan Africa, especially in Nigeria.
Over the coming months, this website will be updated with news related to the project. I, and others, will share information about our preliminary findings, outputs and opportunities to get involved. The website will also include a map of the Lagos Tech Ecosystem, along with links to short video interviews featuring its protagonists.
We hope you will follow our work. Please explore the site and do not hesitate to contact me with any questions. We look forward to discussing this research and collaborating with others interested in technology and society in Africa.
